Three members of the FACTS•MA leadership were invited to attend the Massachusetts Congressional Delegation District Directors' meeting hosted by Representative McGovern's office in Worcester. In the past week, FACTS Team members have been in the Christian Science Monitor and on the Wired Blog discussing fact based policy and the science march.
Nira Pollock, MD, PhD; Pamela Templer, PhD; Jagesh V. Shah, PhD; and Jenny M. Tam, PhD published an op ed on the WBUR Commonhealth Blog this week. The piece looks at the responsibility that newspapers have to their readers with regards to advertising and scientific facts.
On January 31, 2017, the District 4 FACTS Team met with the MA District 4 Director, Nick Clemons in the Newton, MA, office. We presented Mr. Clemons with our preliminary list of concerns and listened to his advice for building an active and collaborative scientific advocacy community in MA. FACTS Teams are currently forming in all nine MA districts with the aim of meeting and consulting with their district offices.
